Long Time Coming

Our last overseas trip was in January/February 2019 to Jordan, Egypt, Israel. Then two things happened Alma Caylock and Covid.

After caring for her mother directly for two and half years, with plenty of support from Ann's sister Libby, the painful decision was made to place Alma in Aged Care.

With Covid waning and some free time, an opportunity arose to join a Scenic Tour of Vietnam and Cambodia, so here we go.

As the departure date has crept closer the excitement and anticipation has grown. The last week has been quite busy with a wedding to attend in the beautiful Yarra Valley where we also stayed overnight. It was a great wedding and a great start to the week before departure.

Then we received a phone call the next day to inform us that one of the guests on our table had tested positive to Covid. After looking up all the requirements we are now on tenterhooks to see if we are clear. If we dont have symptoms and haven't tested positive by Monday (departure Tuesday) we should be in the clear.

We are testing regularly and so far we are negative.

The next post could be euphoric or devastating.

After Effects
